Hailoo does document due diligence for people who have to make a decision. AI reads and cross-checks. The value is in knowing how to configure it for each type of case and in verifying what it flags. We started by auditing Brazilian public contracts: 16 cases in under 90 days, where a single audit typically takes 90 to 180 days.

Gustavo Vieira

Partner, legal and review

Lawyer admitted to the Brazilian Bar (OAB/RJ 108.621), practicing since 2000 in corporate, contract and commercial litigation, across oil and gas, real estate, telecommunications, technology and infrastructure. Works in Portuguese and English.

At Hailoo, he sets the criteria for each case, checks every finding at the source and is accountable for how what goes into the report is qualified. Works on pre-audits of public contracts under Brazil's procurement laws (Law 14.133/2021 and Law 8.666/93).

Daniel Joras

Partner, method and technology

Business administration degree from PUC-Rio, with an exchange at Copenhagen Business School. Background in finance and around eight years in data analysis and financial diagnostics for companies in Brazil and abroad.

Configures the reading agents for each case: triage of the document set, cross-checking between documents and traceability down to the page.

A halo is the light around something, not what sits at the center. That's how we use AI: around the expert, reading and cross-checking what they wouldn't have time to read, until the picture is clear. The center (judgment, sign-off, responsibility) stays with whoever signs.

We work as a boutique: a few cases at a time, and whoever designs the reading runs the case.

What improves with every case.

Documents are deleted at the end of each engagement. What stays with us is the Lastroo method:

a catalog of red flags validated against human auditors;
a record of where each model gets things wrong, and on which kinds of documents;
a report that states what the agent got wrong in the previous round.
